About Latrisa

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary and middle school learners in math, science, and test preparation, I prioritize building confidence over simple memorization. I adapt my methods to your specific needs by observing how you interact with new material and incorporating visual aids or hands-on activities. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect lessons to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I believe clear, consistent communication with both you and your parents is the foundation of our success. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I am happy to work with you online or at my home, where I am always ready to welcome your pets, too. I look forward to helping you discover your own unique path to academic success.
