About Larissa

My name is Larissa, and I am an experienced educator with a unique background that blends professional industry experience with a passion for working with children. I spent eight years as a commercial lender at Silicon Valley Bank, developing strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, while also volunteering in local schools through Youth Drama for All and founding a student-run club at a public school. I later transitioned into education to align my career with my passion, earning my teaching credentials at California State University, Monterey Bay while teaching English as a Second Language to middle school students. I have taught grades 1-7 and currently teach at River Elementary School. I build strong relationships with students that foster confidence and excitement for learning, and I would love the opportunity to help your student reach their academic goals.
