Hello! My name is Lara and I am originally from Oxford in England. I emigrated to the United States 28 years ago with my immediate family. We have always resided in Florida. I have over 20 years of child care experience ranging from newborns to teenagers and children with special needs. I am both CPR and First Aid certified. I lived in Italy for four years, where I worked as a nanny/English teacher. I have also been to Nairobi, Kenya, twice, where I went to volunteer in an orphanage. These trips changed my life. I consider being a nanny a privilege and honor. Every day shows some sort of growth in every child, whether it be physical, reaching a milestone, mental, learning something new or completing a new task! This is one of the reasons I love my chosen career! To see the growth, to experience a child's joy, pride and enthusiasm. To me, these are all special gifts!

Lara was wonderful with our kids (3 and 6yo). She is patient, understanding, and creative. Also careful with them when out, and had a lot of initiative. She also so kindly offered to help me around the house when she wasn't needed with the kids in any given moment. She had many creative ideas to keep them busy, and also was good at following their lead. I appreciated her easy-going style but also balanced with knowing how to set limits and structure for young kids - she is a natural. I look forward to working with her again for occasional babysitting.
