Currently, I am a CPR certified substitute teacher at a local DCPS elementary school and have been for the last 6 years. I have been a seasonal employee for the past 7 years at the camp working in youth development and as an assistant teacher for preschool. I am the mother of a budding 11-year-old. I have over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds. I love working with children and I am an artist as well. I love to paint, draw, and create. I enjoy creating arts and crafts with children because it really allows them to express themselves. I studied Fine Arts while working on my teaching degree. Ms. Q is amazing! She babysat our 6-month old a few times a week for the last few weeks and was so caring, reliable, and attentive. Such a kind and calm presence and our daughter got used to her very quickly. Ms. Q did a lot of sit and stand practice with our daughter which we really appreciated and she was really flexible with staying a little later if we needed it. She also brought her 10-year old daughter who was so sweet and creative, and a delightful, polite visitor. By the end of our recurring babysitting with Ms. Q, we were happy to call her our friend!
