About Lanie

In 2011, I worked with a language and literacy program, at a low-income preschool booming with multicultural families and over 12 languages in a single classroom. This sparked my interest in speech and language development and disorders. I began working at the University of Washington's Infant Hearing Lab, studying the developmental stages of speech sound awareness in infants, ages three to seven months. 2013 through 2018, I served as a preschool teacher. There, I established my core values: the development of social-emotional skills through intentional and free play, sensory exploration, and conflict resolution. In 2018, I became a speech and language pathology assistant in my local school district to pursue my passions. I have a 1-year-old son who would join me while caring for your little one(s).
