I am an active career nanny with 14 years of professional experience specializing in the care of infants and toddlers. I'm taking a short break from full time nannying to adventure with my rescue pup and to travel to South Africa. I've visited 37 countries and love learning about new cultures. Laicy is an extraordinary caregiver and a lovely human being! My two-year-old son (who often cries when we leave him with a sitter) was laughing and telling jokes within 5 mins of meeting Laicy — and my 5-month old was equally smitten. She’s an absolute pro, with a deep knowledge of child development and a comfortable, warm, easy way with small children. I’m a kindergarden teacher in Germany and was an AuPair for two years. Laicy and I met through a mutual AuPair friend and we’ve had lots of playdates since then meeting up at playgrounds, museums, the zoo, toddler open gym, the library and for lots of other fun toddler activities. Laicy is amazing caring for kids, she’s engaging, playful, patient and puts a lot of effort into planning fun days for the toddler she’s caring for. She has lots of experience caring for kids of different ages and needs and is always happy to help and give advice. Every family would be more than lucky to work with her.

My 8 year old worked with Laicy for two years and I would say they were the most helpful, productive, and enjoyable years for our family. She is knowledgeable, persistent, and joyful—our child has a developmental delay as well and Laicy was a vital role in his development. My husband and I were looking for someone to help us with childcare 1-2 days a week and for the occasional date night. We searched for a while on Care.com before we came across Laicy. We are so happy that we found her!  Laicy has cared for our baby since she was 6 months old.

We hired Laicy to fill a relatively short term nanny position to care for our 6 month old son between the time our parental leave ended and him starting daycare.
Even after just a phone interview we were immediately set at ease and confident in her abilities to care for our son. Upon starting, she knew all the right questions to ask to get herself oriented and clearly knew what she needed to know from us to make the smoothest transition in. She is extremely communicative and responsive and took very little time to blend seamlessly into our family, working with us at every step. She was immediately amazing with our son, always energetic and creative in finding activities to foster his development and keep him engaged. His face lit up everyday when she arrived and he loved being with her. She continued to work with us after the pandemic started and I never questioned her commitment to health and safety--she was informed, thoughtful and careful. I can't imagine having a better nanny.

Laicy is the penultimate professional - respectful to children, engaged, enlightening, patient, direct, creative...I could go on and on. My son adored Laicy and never stressed his time with her, even though it was by far the most time he has been in childcare (60-70 hours in 10 days). Laicy had energy every day, keeping the day's activities fresh and dynamic - she is also very attentive to healthy and mindful eating, with many other solid values to accompany her thoughtful approach to life. We really appreciated her willingness to be flexible due to the nature of our commitments, and she was such an excellent communicator. We can't thank her though for making a stressful work trip easy breezy! We never had to worry about our child because we trusted Laicy to handle things in an intelligent, considered, safe, and graceful way. She's a brilliant person and we are lucky to have met her!

Laicy has an amazing connection with children. Our little boy is a bundle of energy and demands a lot of attention. Laicy handles it with ease and grace and he loves her. Highly highly highly recommended!

My husband and I wanted a sitter for a few nights while we were in Mexico City, and a friend referred Laicy to us. We feel so lucky that we found her as a sitter, it was immediately clear how comfortable she is with children. Our daughter is going through a very attached phase right now, and warmed up very quickly to Laicy. We would absolutely hire Laicy again (and actually hope she's available for our next trip to Mexico City!).

Laicy is absolutely incredible at her job.  She is energetic, kind, smart and reliable.  She gave 100% of herself to her work and to our child.  She is also extremely knowledgeable about children, takes pride in her work and is a true pro.  We simply couldn't be happier with the job she did.  We would hire her again in a heartbeat and it would be hard to imagine someone living up to the bar she set.

Laicy is a mature, professional and skilled nanny. She loves kids and the outdoors and played with our toddler in creative ways. Our son had a lot of separation anxiety and Laicy worked with us to make us feel comfortable. Laicy was flexible and understanding when rescheduling was needed. Our family's needs were top priority to Laicy. Extra bonus, is that Laicy is a lovely, friendly and fun loving person. We're sad she is leaving town as she is a keeper! I highly recommend Laicy! 

Laicy worked with our family for about a year and we would recommend her enthusiastically for any family looking for a nanny. She is attentive, creative, kind (yet firm) and trustworthy. We are so happy to have had her as a part of our family!

Laicy was our son's nanny for a year and then continued to be a part of our family even after he started attending a preschool. She is a treasure. She is 100% reliable, kind, smart, punctual and one of the most impressive people I have met. She began looking after our son at 9 months old and he is now 3.5 and she was wonderful with him as a baby and now is amazing with him as a toddler. He developed great habits with her- eating, sleeping, being mindful of his own body and others. She is a true gem who I would recommend. Could not give her a more glowing review. 

Laicy is THE BEST.  We've had her care for our two small boys for over two lovely years.  She is patient, kind, creative, energetic, fun, organized, punctual, reliable, and committed to her families.  She is a consummate professional, and continually develops her skill set through trainings, books, and research. She is self-directed and can be trusted to appropriately manage the day-to-day with very little guidance, including (but not limited to) potty training, healthy meal planning, enriching activities (in and outside of the home), exercise, household management and positive discipline.  Both of our children have loved having her in our home, and so have we (my husband and myself) - she is truly a Mary Poppins.

We would keep her longer if our boys were not ready for school, and are sad to see this wonderful time with her come to an end.  I give her my highest recommendation. 

Laicy is absolutely fantastic.  She is engaging, creative, and quick on her feet with my kids.  She has a lot of heart and just an all around great person.  My kids love her.  I can't recommend anyone any higher to take care of their children than I do with Laicy.  I'm so glad we met her.  

Laicy is my top choice. She talked to our son constantly and engaged him. She also gently put him to sleep every time. She was amazing!

She is truly amazing with children. She watched my little ones for a couple of years starting when they were 1 and 3. They loved her so much. Laicy has a way of talking and interacting with kids that none of our other sitters came close to matching. She treated the kids with such kindness and respect, and always found a way of teaching them, exploring the world with them, and making learning fun. She was also good about engaging the kids in interesting activities, both at home an in the community.

Laicy treats nannying like it's a true profession and we could always depend on her to be on time and fully ready to have a wonderful time with the kids. We sincerely miss her in our house and think anyone who has the opportunity to have her is very lucky.
