About Kylie

I'm looking for work with newborns, infants and toddlers, as I find these ages of development especially fascinating. My calm demeanor and intuitive responsiveness help me care for children with ease, gentleness, and patience (that's not to say that kids are easy, at all!). My approach with infants is to generally adapt to the child's regular feeding and sleeping rhythm and use a "child-led" mindset. I'm hoping to connect with a few families in need of care on occasional or very part time basis in early evenings during the week or anytime on the weekends. I have more than 10 years of childcare experience, including full-time nannying for a year between undergrad and grad school. I have worked in child/adolescent mental health and education, until I pivoted into non-profit admin work. After working as a school sports coach the last 3 years (in addition to my day-job), I'm looking to return to child care as a "side hustle" with a different pace. --Minimum 3 hours per sitting
