About Kyla

Hey there hi there! I'm so excited about the possibility of working with your family! I'd describe myself as patient, flexible, and compassionate - someone who truly enjoys being around kids and believes in their potential. I see children as incredibly capable and creative, and I love supporting them as they explore, grow, and learn about the world around them. I started working with kids at age 12 as a nanny for two young boys, and I've stayed in the field ever since. Over the years, I've held a variety of roles: After-school program leader Theatre coach Gifted & talented enrichment coach K-12 school counselor Youth advocate & mentor I'm especially passionate about social-emotional learning and I also know a decent amount of ASL. I would be happy to incorporate that into our time together if you're interested! I love activity-based learning and believe that real-life experiences are some of the best teachers.
