About Kimberly

Hello! My name is Kimberly and I am a certified special education teacher for K-12 students. I am a full-time elementary teacher in the North Chesterfield area and am looking to add some part-time tutoring jobs to my schedule. I am available to help K-8 students with math and reading. I am also trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and love to provide this approach with students who struggle with reading! My teaching style begins with making sure that students have their foundational skills intact before they work their way up to more complex instruction. Ideally, I would love to spend a portion of our tutoring sessions on reinforcing foundational skills and another portion on helping your student with their general education curriculum. I have been teaching for about 3 years now and have been a tutor and instructional assistant in the past. I am very flexible with scheduling and locations, but would love to stay in the North Chesterfield/Midlothian area.
