About Kimberly

With over 20 years of experience, I hold an M. Ed in Special Education and I am licensed in Special Education, History, ESL and Reading (pending). I believe in explicit, multi-sensory and systematic approaches, and I am highly familiar and experienced with Orton Gillingham, Wilson, Visualizing and Verbalizing and the Science of Reading. I create supportive, engaging environments where concepts like organization and planning, study skills, and reading and writing become manageable. My approach centers on building trust and adapting my methods to your specific learning style through scaffolded support. Whether we are tackling test anxiety, a messy backpack, study skills or reading and writing, I connect lessons to your personal interests to build momentum and confidence. I believe open communication is essential for our success and I look forward to collaborating with you and/or your family member to achieve desired goals.
