About Kiarra

Hello! My name is Kiarra, and I'm an ASL teacher with a background in education and childcare. Before teaching, I worked as a nanny for eight years, caring for infants, teens, twins, and children with autism. During that time, I discovered my love for teaching and connecting with young people. I enjoy working with students because they're funny, creative, and full of surprises. Whether we're learning new signs, playing games, or sharing stories, I love keeping things fun and engaging. As an ASL interpreter, I enjoy weaving sign language into everyday moments, giving students a unique way to connect and communicate. I'm also finishing my degree in Mild to Moderate Special Education and previously worked as a paraprofessional at the Ohio School for the Deaf. I'm excited to share my love of ASL with you!
