I have worked in the field of childhood education as an after school teacher, however the last two years I have been an essential skills para-educator. This position led me to realize I love working with children who need that extra support in the classroom, leading me to decide on becoming a school psychologist. The top 3 skills that I have are my patience, behavior guidance, and safety awareness. My experience from being a para-educator has given me a strong background in special education support, classroom management, and positive behavior intervention, leaving me committed to fostering an inclusive, structured, and supportive environment. I like working with kids because it is exciting to see their young minds be curious while they are still learning, they ask all the questions that adults are sometimes afraid to ask or even don't notice themselves and they bring a new perspective to life that we may not have realized originally. I am child and infant CPR/First Aid certified.
