About Sara

My name is Sara. I'm a high school substitute teacher with over a year of classroom experience. I hold a B. A. in Psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay. I have over a year of experience as a Behavior Specialist in acute psychiatric services within residential and hospital settings, where I supported individuals in high-acuity care using de-escalation techniques, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic skills. In addition, I bring more than four years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and respite caregiving, working with children on the autism spectrum across home, school, clinic, and community settings. These experiences have strengthened my adaptability, patience, and ability to build supportive relationships. I'm friendly, energetic, reliable, and professional, with strong communication skills and willingness to continue to learn. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with my family and my brown spotted dog, Chopper.
