I have 15+years of nanny experience! I have cared for children ages birth-13 years. Currently I am a nanny for a 20-month-old boy in Minneapolis (leaving because mom is not returning to work after the birth of second child). I am also employed as a child care provider at the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery on a rotating flexible weekend schedule. There we care for children birth - 6 years, dealing with groups of up to 4 children. I have cared for multiples and special needs. In addition to providing childcare as a nanny, I worked in a preschool/daycare for nearly 10 years. As a teacher there, I was responsible for daily lesson plans and assisting in the writing of curriculum. Being a nanny is wonderful, as I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of the children that I care for; by providing a safe, loving, nurturing, educational and fun environment for the children. I feel as though I work well with the parents as well. I am a firm believer in keeping the lines of communication open. I take advice and suggestions from parents and other family members and I hope I can provide the same in return. A few of the many activities I enjoy doing with infants and children in my care are as follows: Reading(never too young), trips to libraries and story times, singing and simple finger plays and rhymes, art activities. I am more inclined to provide free art experience rather than patterns. I feel that it inspires a bit more creativity. I provide the materials and let the children create. I love being outdoors and believe in a healthy style, walks to parks, swimming, zoos and many other activities that would take me much too long to write! I love what I do and I believe that I am good at it.
