About Kenya

Hello! I'm Kenya, and I'm delighted to share a little about myself. I'm in my early thirties and earned my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in elementary education, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University (JMU). During my time there, I enjoyed spending two years as a daycare assistant, caring for children whose parents attended evening classes to learn English as their second language. Over the past decade, I've worked as a policy analyst for the U. S. Government, focusing on child nutrition policies and regulations. Currently, I'm among the many furloughed federal employees in Arlington, VA.
