While I don't have formal caregiving experience, I've spent a lot of time taking care of my grandmother, helping her with everyday things like getting dressed, cooking, light yard work, cleaning, and even bathing when needed. Through this, I've learned how important it is to be patient, gentle, and respectful when caring for someone. I've also taken a couple of online classes in nursing assistance and medical terminology, so I have a basic understanding of what elderly clients may need.
