About Kelsey

During my time at Hampton University, I had the privilege of serving as both a volunteer and paid tutor through the TRiO Educational Talent Search program. In this role, I provided academic support and mentorship to middle and high school students, focusing on English, History, and middle school Math. Working with TRiO allowed me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and support them in building confidence and academic skills. Through this experience, I developed the ability to adapt my teaching style to fit individual learning needs, communicate complex ideas clearly, and create a supportive learning environment. These skills have made me a patient, effective, and compassionate tutor, one who's truly committed to helping students grow. This experience also reaffirmed my goal of becoming a teacher and making a lasting impact in students' lives.
