About Kelly

Unlocking a student's unique potential drives my approach to education. With 27 years of teaching experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess each student's needs before our first session, allowing me to tailor my strategies--from visual aids to interactive discussions--to their specific learning style. I prioritize clear communication with both students and parents to ensure we are aligned on progress and goals. By breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and celebrating every "aha!" moment, I keep students motivated through even the most challenging material. I have been Orton Gillingham and Reading Recovery trained with degrees in K-8, Reading, and Learning Disabilities. I am happy to host tutoring sessions at my Green Lake home. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is truly the most rewarding part of my work, and I look forward to supporting their academic journey.
