About Kelly

Hi! My name is Kelly, I am a 27-year-old Mom that has been a nanny and babysitter since college. My undergraduate degree is in Aviation Management (from ERAU in Florida) and I am about to start my Master's degree at Mills College in Infant Mental Health. My daughter and I moved to San Francisco about 5 years ago to be closer to our village of family and friends that live in the bay area. I have worked with several families over the years and can provide an extensive reference list and general duties provided to each. I have cared mostly for children under the age of three, normally as young as 10 weeks of age. My daughter (now 6) was a preemie and came home with a heart monitor for her apnea, so I am also attuned and confidant in giving special care, making notes and sticking to schedules. I do my best to get to know your family's preferences, reinforce your positive parenting style and continue to provide a warm and nurturing environment for your child(ren). Communication is key between parents and caregivers and I like to help find solutions together whether it be weaning, naps/sleeping better, allergies and sensitivities, as well as finding outlets for children with a lot of energy or with problems biting/spitting/pushing others. I have a full-time position in Oakland, CA beginning late August and would love to fill in my Summer with a new family or share care part-time, 2-3 times a week for at least two hours a day. I have taken several college-level courses in Child Development (can bring transcripts). I also just completed my 100 hour service as a volunteer in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. There is nothing more charming than watching a small child discover the world around them and I would love to be a part of facilitating those little discoveries while parents take a break or run errands.
