About Kelli

Empowering 3rd-8th grade students with dyslexia to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. As a certified teacher with a graduate degree and a Trainee Affiliate with the Academic Language Therapy Association, I provide structured literacy instruction using the Take Flight curriculum. My lessons continuously develop the five essential components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Through ongoing checks for understanding, I monitor progress, identify areas of need, and adjust instruction to ensure concepts are mastered. Open communication with parents creates a collaborative partnership focused on growth. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a reluctant reader become a confident reader. I look forward to helping develop a genuine love for reading and writing.
