For the past 15 years, I've cultivated a passion for helping elementary students thrive academically. With a graduate degree and as a certified teacher, I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, not just memorization. I adapt my teaching methods by actively listening and observing, varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I celebrate small successes, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. Open communication is essential for understanding student needs, progress, and setting clear expectations. Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504) are areas of expertise. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I am comfortable with pets, have a car, and would love to help your student succeed in math, English, or special education at their home, a library, or online.
