Hello, my name is Kelli. I am a 37-year-old female, living in the Oregon. I have lots of experience with children and in child care and have also traveled to other states in the past to do so. I have been described as being a very "happy go lucky" person. I am warm-hearted, nurturing, patient, and I have a lot of common sense. I'm a good person and am very trustworthy. I respect people and their things. I'm a clean and tidy person. I love all animals and don't mind taking care of them. My most recent experience has been caring for two kids that are 3-year-old boy and a 4 1/2-year-old girl. They are very active children that keep me on the ran. Are days are going to the park, (when it's not raining) taking them to swim lessons, coloring, riding bikes, board games, ect.... Before that I was taking care of a little guy who was 26 months. I began watching him in March of 2009. He was all boy and full of energy just like most toddlers. On an average day, we play outside, go on walks, coloring, and watch his favorite show Sesame Street and he loved it when I sing the ABC's to him. I am also very consistent with all the children I nanny for, which makes the days go smoothly. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it! Working with children is so rewarding.... Prior to watching him, I worked for TriMet (public transportation for the Portland Metro area) as a bus driver. I was with TriMet for five years. As a bus driver, I was paid very well and had great benefits, however, I would work 12-14 hours a day driving all over the Portland metro area. It was a very stressful job, especially dealing with some of the people I would have on the bus. The stress of being assaulted or threatened while out on my routes was not worth the pay to me, so I decided to go back to school and re-start a career working with children. I have also worked as a school bus driver for the North Clackamas school district in Milwaukie, Oregon. I have a great driving record, as I drove the school bus for eight years. I've also worked as a teacher's aide for first to sixth graders, as well as a daycare after-school program (all in the same school district). Prior to being a bus driver, I worked at The Children's Garden in downtown Portland, Oregon. The daycare had all ages from 2 months to 12 years, I mainly worked with the toddlers. This was a part-time job, while I was doing my 60-70 hours of training for my CDL (commercial driver license) to be a school bus driver.
