About Kelley

I am a certified teacher with a Masters in Education and 7 years of full-time classroom teaching experience. I have been tutoring for about 15 years. My Masters in Education program focused on reading/writing development, social and emotional learning, and special education support. I specialize each tutoring plan to meet the student's needs and interests. My goal is to empower my students and help them see their strengths as they further develop their math, reading, or writing skills. I love being a classroom teacher, but I really enjoy tutoring because I get to focus on a student's specific needs and help them grow and gain confidence in their academic skills! I enjoy developing lesson plans that are meaningful to each student and helping them see their own potential. In tutoring, I get to use my creative teaching skills- engaging students in ways that are interesting and interactive, as well as developing learning strategies that will help students achieve their goals.
