About Kellam
Experience: 6 yrs
I have 6 years of tutoring experience from previous families I have worked for. Previous clients range from 1st grade to college students. I am fully trained in Orton Gillingham and Wilson's Fundations, which are reading curriculums geared towards helping those with learning differences in reading. I was previously a teacher in DC where I taught mainly elementary and middle school aged students. Other experience includes helping kids with organizational skills, helping students prep for state exams, and helping them build confidence in themselves. I have a B. S. in Neuroscience as well as a M. A. in Special Education from American University. I currently work at Vanderbilt as a neuroscience research coordinator working with children in studies focused on child development and learning disabilities.

Kellam was a great tutor for my little girl (11 years old). She took into consideration her unique leaning needs and was very patient with my autistic daughter. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a well educated and experienced tutor. The only reason I don’t employ her currently is because we had to move. She was able to teach my daughter with her learning disability by breaking down complicated concepts into manageable sections for her to understand. If Kellam has availability- book her immediately! She has helped my little girl grow some much in her love of learning.
