About Kaylise

I'd describe my personality as grounded, positive, and chatty. I like tutoring because I love to teach! It's really satisfying when a student actually cracks something they've been working at. I'm looking for a job with a learner (or learners) who need regular help throughout the summer. I've primarily worked with college students, but I love all ages and can adapt to the student. My unofficial experience with tutoring came while I was nannying. However, I taught graduate level research methods and statistics courses for the last 5 years, which included one-on-one help, as well as small group study sessions. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, and watch artsy movies. One thing you should know about me is I do my best to really listen to what each student and family needs and am very able to adapt as the situation requires. My skills include patience, careful listening, and breaking down complex ideas into component parts.
