Hi! I'm Kayla, a nursing student at Howard University planning to specialize in neonatal or pediatric care. I've always had a natural instinct to care for others, especially babies and young kids. I've helped care for my newborn baby sister after she came home from the NICU. l've also babysat my younger cousins (ages 1-14) and my God-siblings (ages 1 and 3). My 3-year-old God-brother was in foster care before being adopted, so I always made sure to be extra gentle, patient, and mindful of his emotions to help him feel safe and supported. Thanks to my nursing background, I have a understanding of child development and baby care and I'm CPR/First Aid certified. I'm all about creating a safe, calm, and fun environment. I love taking kids outside for walk or playtime if the weather's nice and indoors I enjoy reading, singing, and keeping them engaged in ways that support their growth. I know it is important to have someone you trust with your child, and I'd love to be that person!
