I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and have over 14 years of experience between the ages of infancy to school age. I am currently working in obtaining my Masters Degree in Early Childhood.

I am certified in CPR/First Aide and MAT (Medication Administration Training). I have a vehicle and am somewhat comfortable with pets depending on the animal. 

My rate is usually $30/hr. for one child, with an additional $5 per extra child. I will be available Saturday or Sunday 8:30-4:30.

Kayla was great with my 2 girls. We had a wedding and are from out of town. I usually use family to watch my kids so I was super nervous but she kept me updated through out the night with pictures and texts. Would recommend 10/10.

Kayla was great with our group of 4 young kids while we attended a wedding. She got them fed, all down to bed and no issues arose. 

Kayla did a fantastic job. I hired her to help watch 5 kids during a party. She played with and was engaged with the kids. She stayed focused on the kids when there was a lot going on. The kids had a lot of fun with her and the parents could relax because she was there. 

We have been using Kayla for almost two years, every Thursday night, like clockwork. She is excellent with our three kids to the point where they ask us if it's Thursday yet! We would recommend her to any family with multiple children in heartbeat. 

Kayla is an absolutely fantastic babysitter. We have worked with Kayla for the past two years, and our 7-year old son loves to be with her and engage in creative, sporty, and other fun activities together. Besides being a lot of fun, Kayla is also very reliable and very good at providing structure during dinner- and bed times. We always feel completely relaxed leaving our son with Kayla because we know he will have a great time and he will be safe and well provided for. We heartily recommend Kayla as a babysitter!

Kayla kindly helped us when we stayed in Lake Placid for a long weekend. She watched our 16 month old at our hotel for a few hours while we went to dinner. She was on time, very kind, and our daughter took to her immediately! She was very attentive to her needs while we were away and sent us updates to show she was in good hands. She is very trusting and great with kids! Thanks again Kayla!

Kayla has been sitting for us many summers when we travel up from DC to Lake Placid for annual vacation. We have a 10 and 6 year old and the 6 year old is developmentally disabled. Kayla is incredibly caring, knowledgeable about disabilities and both our girls love her. We are able to go out to dinner without worrying at all about the kids. Hope to continue to see Kayla for many more summers!!!

Kayla is very sweet and has a background in child care and education and she was great with our boys, but she was not always the most reliable. It seemed she could only babysit when it was convenient for her and she would question when we would be home. We work all week during the day (as does Kayla) so the best time for us to go out for a "date night" would be at night and it felt as if we had a curfew even though we were paying above the amount stated here. We would come home and toys would be everywhere and things were left in disarray, dishes left in the sink from dinner (I prepared for the boys before leaving to go out) and Kayla would be on her phone chatting with friends and family when we arrived home. Overall she was good with the kids, but we have not had her back in some time.

UPDATED review.  We first met Kayla during the winter of 2019 when she she helped us with our then 11 month old daughter.  We have been spending extensive time in LP since COVID started in March of 2020.  We contacted Kayla and are blessed that she jumped in to spend time again with our daughter, now a toddler.  At times and depending upon her work/school schedule, Kayla would assist almost full time.  Kayla is reliable, hard-working, mature, dependable and organized.  She plans ahead for fun and enriching activities for our daughter, and, importantly, is equally as lovely to our teens, wisely finding a balance between the kids' age gaps.  Kayla is engaged with the kids and our family and is a positive role model with a can-do attitude.  When not in LP, our daughter continuously asks to "play with" Kayla and talks about her.  We are grateful to have met Kayla and for our family to spend time with her.  We look forward to seeing Kayla again soon!

Kayla was very punctual and available on short notice! My daughter 10, and my son 5, absolutely loved her and had a blast with her. She kept them busy and took them to play outdoors. She was punctual, affordable, responsive, kind, caring, and fun! I would definitely hire Kayla again, and plan on it next time we are in Lake Placid!

Kayla cared for our two kids (four year old and one year old) while we were on vacation in Saranac Lake and was wonderful! She played with our kids, put them to bed, and helped our one year old get back to sleep when she unexpectedly woke up. My husband and I were able to enjoy a wonderful night out knowing our kids were in great hands! I would definitely hire Kayla again and recommend her to others!

Kayla was terrific with my daughter age 10 and her friend age 7!  She was super flexible with our timing when we ran a bit late and even offered to stay later since we got a later start to our evening! The girls gave her a big two thumbs up and LOVED her! We can't wait to come back to Lake Placid and use her again! Kayla was a home run-the girls were at ease with her from the minute they met her!

Kayla was great with our two kids. She played with them, drew with them, and actively engaged them. You can really tell that she enjoys children. 
We are not from the area. Kayla babysat for us while we were at a wedding. We would hire her again in a second!
