About Samantha

Hello! My name is Sam and I recently moved to the Tri-Lakes area to work with a local environmental stewardship & education nonprofit. I am looking to find some extra work outside of this and would love to get back to childcare part time! I have been a babysitter for well over a decade, a nannied for a year, and worked on and off for 5 years in professional daycare settings. I also have experience with older school aged children teaching outdoor education. I love helping children explore their environment and connect with the natural world. When I work with children, my teaching style is child-led through educational-play. I believe every child is unique so in order to do the best for them, we simply need to listen to them. I am comfortable working with all kinds of families and open to both long term regular childcare needs for local families as well as date night/sporadic gigs.
