About Kayla

With a lifetime of childcare experience and over 15 years of professional work, I bring both passion and expertise to nurturing young minds. I've spent 5 years as a Pre-K lead teacher and am CPR certified for your peace of mind. As both an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and play-based learning environment. I'm deeply inspired by Montessori principles and hands-on exploration, and I've attended multiple workshops with Lisa Murphy, the "Ooey Gooey Lady," to expand my approach to child-led learning and creativity. I also have an infant son who would come with me. I'm hoping to give him the chance to socialize and learn alongside other children, while avoiding daycare and maintaining a warm homestyle environment. I've found that this setup benefits everyone - children love having a "baby friend" around, and it helps foster kindness, empathy, and curiosity from an early age.
