About Kayla

Certified teacher | Reading, writing & elementary math through play About me Hi, I'm Kayla -- a certified teacher with a master's degree and classroom experience in Spring ISD and nearby districts. I've taught 4th-6th grade ELA, reading, writing, and elementary math/science, and I've also worked with children from infancy through age 12. I love helping kids grow through play. Sessions feel like games, stories, hands-on practice, and real conversation--not worksheets for the sake of worksheets. I focus on language development, confidence, and the skills that actually transfer to school: reading, writing, number sense, and problem-solving. I tailor lessons to the child in front of me, keep parents in the loop, and make learning feel doable. I'm local to the Conroe/Spring/The Woodlands area and happy to tutor in your home or keep it simple and consistent each week. If you want a teacher who meets your child where they are and makes progress feel natural, I'd love to meet your family.
