About Kay

I have over 20 years of experience as a caregiver/companion. I have experience with clients having Alzheimer's/dementia, from onset to stage IV (hospice care), Parkinson's, MS, CHF (chronic heart failure), as well as companion care. I have performed all aspects of personal hygiene care including bathing/toileting, feeding when needed, medication dispersion/reminders, in addition to the running of the household (laundry/meal prep./shopping and errands). I have a great fondness for the seniors and would welcome the opportunity to work with you and your loved one.

Kay--whom we know by her nickname, Kim--is a very kind and compassionate, respectful, able, and affectionate caregiver. She had the challenge of providing late afternoon to evening care for my elderly father with Alzheimer's. As the dementia increasingly robbed Dad of his easygoing disposition and keen sense of humor, especially in the later hours of every day, Kim continually did her best to keep him mentally engaged, physically and emotionally comfortable, and safe. She also did dinner prep and light housekeeping. Kim was tremendously helpful facilitating Dad's frequent phone and video chats with multiple concerned family members. She often texted me to let me know when Dad's dementia caused him to feel particularly confused, anxious, or irritable. We all learned together when to give him space. Kim's flexibility with her evening schedule allowed my brother--with whom Dad lived--to have some much-needed respite time after work. We are grateful to have had her thoughtful care.
