My name is Kay, and I'm looking for a part-time or full-time nannying position this summer. I grew up in Arlington Heights and went to St. James School (K-8) and Hersey High School. I'm now a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. In my time at Hersey I'm proud to have experience as a peer tutor and am comfortable tutoring math, science, and English, at any level grades K-12. I have experience babysitting for several different families, and one of my most valuable experiences working with kids came from my three years coaching at Playpen Sports Academy, a sports program for children ages 2-6. Playpen helped me build strong skills in communication, patience, and keeping young children engaged and active. I have reliable transportation and am able to help get kids to their activities. I'm dependable and happy to help with anything from outdoor activities and crafts to reading time and more!

I booked Kay through the book a sitter now feature in Care for the next day. I'm very glad that she was available and the sitter that we ended up with, because she was phenomenal. She was confident and capable as a care provider, but also very laid back. I was working remotely at home in a side office. Normally, my son would have sought me out quite a bit - especially with a new sitter - but he was quite happy to just play with Kay. Later that day, he asked for her after he woke up from his nap. I hope to hire her again in the future.
