About Katrina

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching philosophy. With 10 years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess each student's unique style through active listening and observation, adapting my methods with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. When concepts become challenging, I bridge the gap by connecting topics to real-world interests and celebrating every small success. I believe open communication with families is essential to building the trust necessary for academic growth. Whether I am supporting students in Math, English, Science, or Special Education, I find the greatest reward in witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I truly look forward to helping your child succeed.
