About Katie

Learning should be an exciting journey! I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, not just memorization. I adapt my teaching methods by varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I encourage open communication about what works best for you and through regular parental check-ins and feedback. I keep you motivated by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples. I celebrate small successes and encourage curiosity through interactive discussions. Communication is essential for understanding your needs and progress. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is seeing your confidence grow as you master new skills. Comfortable with pets, I'm CPR and First Aid trained. I can help with Math, English, Science, and Study Skills for elementary and middle school students. I would love to help you achieve your academic goals!
