About Alyssa

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. With a college degree and two years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I actively listen to students and observe their interactions with new material, adapting my teaching methods using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I celebrate small successes and break down complex problems to build momentum. Communication is essential. I provide regular updates to parents, fostering a collaborative environment. I am experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP). I can help with Math, English, Test Preparation, Special Education, Study Skills, and History for elementary, middle, and high school students. I am comfortable tutoring at your home, a center, online, or at a library. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I speak English and Spanish.
