About Katie

Hi there! My name is Katie. I am a Colorado educator with a K-5 Elementary Education license from the University of Colorado Boulder. I teach kindergarten in Denver Public School District. Previously, I have taught third grade, first grade, and preschool. I have tutored small groups and students one-on- one. I love utilizing data to inform my tutoring sessions and pinpoint student's strengths and areas for growth. I have a strong background in primary literacy skills and mathematical skills. I am highly knowledgeable and familiar with state standards and curriculums. During tutoring sessions, I assess students needs using a wide variety of assessments and prioritize learning needs based on assessments and observations. Tutoring sessions are engaging, active and fun for students! I am looking for tutoring jobs throughout the summer and potentially into the school year if needed. My rate is $50/hr.
