About Katie

I am currently caring for a wonderful 80-year-old gentleman with M. S. He is diabetic and wheelchair bound. I am experienced with lifting in a Hoyer, changing and cleaning his colostomy bag and supra-pubic catheter, showers, dispensing medications, laundry, house cleaning and meals. I run errands and do personal shopping when needed. I, also, currently care for a warm and kind couple. I cook meals, light housekeeping, laundry, administer medications, showers and grooming, transfers and ambulation. I had a short term position caring for an incredible woman with M. S. and was paralyzed from the neck down. I cooked for her lovely family of 5, cat and dog, hand fed her, distributed medications and got her ready for bed. I loved working for her. We laughed a lot. Unfortunately, she needed multiple manual transfers to the toilet/bed. I felt unsafe to continue. I really enjoy caregiving. I look forward to work everyday. I enjoy making someone's life a little easier and more pleasant.
