About Katie

Hello! I'm Katie, let me tell you about myself! ~I have had years of experience as a special education paraprofessional at a high school. I loved that job so much because it was challenging, engaging, and has given me so much patience and empathy for many things. ~I have had experience with many different types of children with many different needs. For example, I was a Summer Power Lead for a YMCA program, taking up to 100 kids on field trips all over Minnesota. I was a Sunday school teacher for Pre-k, and taught swimming lessons to children of multiple ages for 3 years. ~I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology-Human Services and a minor in Religious Studies. I love working with kids, getting them engaged, and keeping them happy. In addition, I have taken many safety classes such as First Aid, WSI, & CPR, so I can keep them safe. ~I also had a pit mix, Tilly, & am a huge pet lover! I've grown up with dogs, so furry friends welcome.
