About Katie

Hello! My name is Katie, and I am a social worker who specializes in working with school-age children. While I tend to provide community based counseling in my line of work, I would love to broaden my horizons and work more closely with families providing child care and extra support. I have 3 years of experience tending to children's emotional needs, teaching healthy coping skills, and providing a safe environment for self-expression. Growing up with a younger sister, caring for children feels second nature to me as I've had experience with preparing meals, supervision, monitoring hygiene, and planning activities. My focus is providing a healthy balance of structure and fun while making sure your child feels secure, supported, and free to express themselves. I love cooking, doing seasonal crafts, playing outside, and encouraging independent time with kids. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games, rock climbing, and volunteering in the community.
