I was there for my dad and his wife for several years since I took early retirement in 2012. I really enjoyed being able to help them with meals, housework, their errands and getting them to medical appointments. My dad was having increased difficult getting around and his short-term memory was all but gone. I also was the caregiver for an 88-year-old gentlemen for several months - - I cleaned his house and took him to medical appointments and on errands until he passed. Currently I help my older brother with house cleaning, errands, medical appointment and managing his medication. He has Parkinson's Disease, glaucoma and has had multiple surgeries. This type of work is very rewarding. I am lucky to have a great deal of energy - - I am an avid hiker and runner. I am very comfortable with animals and have a cat and two dogs myself. Kathy took care of our 7 yr old from 2019-2022 and our 2 yr old for a year. Kathy was excellent with our boys, she used to pick them up from school, take them out for walks and bring them home. She also used to take our older son to his music lesions, swim classes and local libraries and encouraged his reading habits very much. She would always share the days experience with our kids at drop off. She is very dependable and reliable. Kathy was the only babysitter who stayed with us consistently and even through the pandemic offering her services and assisting with challenges of virtual learning. If you are looking for an energetic, positive, reliable, consistent, and mature babysitter for your kids, Kathy is the person you would want. We had to leave her as we moved towns.
