I'm a CMT (Certified Medication Technician). I am certified in end-of-life care. I have been in nursing for 20 years as an NA, CNA, and CMT. Most of my time has been working with geriatrics. I have worked for staffing companies and hospitals, although most of my time was in a nursing home for 14 years. Since covid, I have been working on my own doing healthcare in-home for patients on Hospice or if they choose to live at home instead. I'm looking to try to expand my hours due to recently losing someone and I am ready to be back at work part time. I have numerous references and enjoy my career. This is my calling! Kathy is a wonderful caregiver. My mom is 96 yrs & 5 months & I'm SUPER PICKY about who I want around my Mom. Kathy is so pleasant, uplifting, and talkative, and made both me & my mom feel like she was a family friend. I mean she is so adaptable & responsive to the situation & making conversation with my mom while helping her with her bath & daily needs that it felt like we had a friend pitching in to help us rather than someone we had hired. I cannot say enough good things about Kathy. She's dependable, she even offered to do things besides what I had asked & hired her to do. I felt like she sincerely "liked spending time with my mom". My mom not only benefited from Kathy's expert care but from her engaging personality. After a couple of weeks, my Mom was even telling others where she lived about how her "friend Kathy comes to see her & help her with different things." It doesn't get any better than that!
