About Kathryn

Hi there! My name is Katie and I'm a 34 y/o former childcare provider. Little info about my background - In college, I was a babysitter for children ages ranging from 3-14 y/o, I served as a nanny for a 4-year-old girl and traveled with the family. As apart of my educational internship program, I spent time as a child daycare worker at the Learning Center in Radford, VA. During my spare time, I volunteered at the daycare center located within Virginia Tech's campus. I'm also trained as a Crisis Intervention Counselor and volunteered for several years at a Women's DV shelter in southwest VA. It was a privilege to be able to support children and women during their most vulnerable time. The exp taught me how to manage high stress situations. My focus is on giving your child a safe, routine-focused, and loving space to learn and grow. I love reading, teaching, making crafts, being creative, and giving your child my unwaivering attention while having fun :) Looking forward to meeting you!
