Hi there! My name is Katie and I'm a 34-year-old former childcare provider. Little info about my background - In college, I was a babysitter for children ages ranging from 3-14 y/o, I served as a nanny for a 4-year-old girl and traveled to Hawaii with the family. As apart of my internship program, I spent time as a child daycare worker at the Learning Center in Radford, VA and during my spare time I volunteered at the daycare center located within Virginia Tech's campus. I'm also trained as a Crisis Intervention Counselor and volunteered for several years at the Women's DV shelter in VA. It was a privilege to be able to assist young children and women during their most vulnerable time. The exp taught me how to manage high stress situations. My focus is on giving your child a safe, routine-focused, and creative space to learn and grow. I love reading, playing games/making crafts, singing songs, and overall giving your child my unwaivering attention. Looking forward to meeting you!
