About Kathryn

I currently care for 18-month-old twin girls on Mon & Wed (I've been with them for a year), and I assist in caring for a 7-year-old boy who is autistic & nonverbal, whom I've been with for 2 years. My current schedule with him includes school drop-offs on Tues, Thurs, and Fridays from 7:30-9:00am, and about 5 hours of assistance on Sun (between 10-4) I have experience with children from newborn to 12 years old, including children with high-support needs. I've been a full-time sitter/nanny for almost 3 years, and prior to that I worked in both daycare and hospital settings. I spent time at UAB and worked at Children's Hospital before deciding to pursue education. I am CPR certified and will be graduating with my Associate's degree in ECE in May. My name is Kathryn but most people call me Kat! I'm 24 years old, engaged and getting married this October, and I'm a stepmom to a 4-year-old girl. I'm also the oldest of five kids, so caring for children has always been a big part of my life.
