About Kathryn

Hi there! I'm Kathryn, a fifth-grade teacher who has lived and worked in DC for almost 15 years. I live a pretty balanced life, dividing my free time between going for runs, spending quality time with friends, watching women's basketball, and testing out new recipes. In my near-decade as an elementary school teacher, I've taught every grade level from kindergarten to fifth grade, and I absolutely love my job. I've been honored to be nominated three times for DC Teacher of the Year, which was such a huge compliment. In my years as a teacher, I've tutored students both in-person and virtually, typically in 60-minute sessions.
