I have 1 year, private-in-home experience with cooking, laundry, light housekeeping, errands, shopping for two seniors, late 70's, pre-diabetic, one presenting with dementia, one with pancreatic cancer (passed away in August, 2014). I am self-educated in the importance of balancing/monitoring carbs, eating protein, fresh vegetables, and good oils (omega 3's). I prefer not to cook with wheat, as wheat is proving to be a catalyst for diabetes, cancer, and dementia. I cook with organic/whole foods as much as possible. I have experience administering medicine/pill boxes, testing blood sugar levels with a meter, and providing a strict diet for diabetes. I can assist your loved one in activities including exercise, reading, painting, cooking, gardening, etc. I enjoy museums and parks. I have an excellent driving record.
