I really love getting the opportunity to visit and help elderly or ailing people. I know from personal experience how hard it is to not be able to do the things you once did. I was diagnosed with Lyme disease 11 years ago and was bed bound for 2 years, unable to do the simplest tasks for myself, it can be very dehumanizing going from capable to needing so much help. Now that I am well again I have such a desire in my heart to help others retain their dignity while making their lives a bit less lonely or difficult. I am in the process of getting my license for home health assistant, but have worked for three wonderful people in the meantime, and currently have a ongoing client part time.
