About Katherine

I have always loved children and have a special interest in newborns. I began babysitting when I was 12 years old and it was my passion for years! My degree is in clinical nutrition (a pre-med program). I have also been a substitute teacher (all grades; K-12) for about 10 years. I am warm, nurturing, active and fun. The only thing I insist on teaching and demanding is respect. That is the fundamental requisite to raising children, as everything important comes down to that alone. I believe in promoting early brain development through nutrition and exposure to different experiences. (My youngest was a fluent reader before kindergarten). My ultimate goal is to partner with my families in lovingly and intelligently raising their children, keeping up with their homes, schedules, etc. I am often referred to as a "third parent"! I have numerous outstanding references. I am honest and dependable. My criminal and driving records are perfect.
