My name is Katherine and I'd love to be your new Travel Nanny. I've spent my life, nannying, traveling, training in theater, and working as an Executive Assistant. Through combining these skills, I hope to be your teammate as you raise your children as worldly, well rounded, and socially conscious citizens. I began working with children over 10 years ago in a Montessori Preschool Summer Camp where I wrangled over 20 children and facilitated learning through play and imagination... a skill I now bring to all other childcare jobs. From there I worked as a professional Babysitter and Nanny caring for children from 2 months old to 12 years old. I am CPR certified, trained by the American Red Cross, and have experience with twins, children with special needs, and multiples. Katherine is fantastic, and I'm looking forward to hiring her again in the future! She's one of several caregivers I was prepared to hire to watch my 18mo toddler while in labor. Much coordination and back & forth went into preparing for the job, as it involved unpredictable timing and last minute notice. Throughout the process she was flexible, responded to communication quickly, was professional but also supportive & empathic. I was so nervous about leaving my son and focusing on delivery/ birth, but she really put me at ease and I felt confident that he was in good hands. When the time came, another caregiver was available/ on rotation. BUT!- in preparation for this job, she did a practice run & watched him for several hours on a date night towards the end of my pregnancy. He took to her quickly and she maintained his evening routine to the letter (& I have a long list of notes for mealtimes & sleep preparation). If you're on the fence about hiring Katherine, DO IT!
