About Katherine

I am currently in the final year of my PhD and have held teaching positions for the last eight years. I have worked as a preschool teacher, I have done tutoring for elementary through middle school aged students snd I teach at the university level as a TA. I am well read across the social sciences and humanities and have mastered integrating essential study skills . I believe every learner thrives when provided with personalized support and a patient, engaging environment. By breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and using diverse strategies--from visual aids to interactive discussions--I help students build the critical thinking skills necessary for long-term success. I prioritize clear, consistent communication with both students and parents to ensure we are always working toward your specific goals. I love watching a student's confidence grow as they master a new skill. In addition to my tutoring and teaching experience I have extensive experience as a nanny.
