About Hiruni

Hi my name is Hiruni and I am a dedicated and adaptable tutor based in Los Angeles! I hold a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University and an MFA in screenwriting at the American Film Institute. At Georgetown University I was the teaching assistant for multiple writing courses in which I tutored students, assisted with assignments, and taught lessons in class. As a tutor I have worked with students (ages 6-15) in all subjects (English, math, science, Spanish, history, music theory, technology, etc) including advanced subjects. I always work to integrate organizational skills and test taking strategy into my tutoring as well. I strive to make learning fun and accessible to all students and help them be enthusiastic about their education while staying on track! Since receiving my masters I have started applying to become a certified teacher so I can work in schools one day! Both my parents were educators and instilled their pedagogy and passion for teaching within me!
